Snowflake

Just like my previous post, this is another first attempt, this time snowflake.  Next year I know it will be better as I have an idea of what I can do to improve and how to setup a rig so that I don't have to handhold the camera, pan in and out to get focus.  I know I can do focus stacking without actually have to move the camera at all.  Here is to my first attempt and to new and better photos next winter!

Attempt at Cinemagraph

I know there are so many things wrong with this cinemagraph but it was my first attempt.  The learning curve itself was a pain.  Hopefully the next one will be much simpler!

First Flower of Spring: Crocuses

I really like crocus flower as they are always the first to bloom and gives a great hint of spring! They are also very hardly and bloom in the midst of snow and generally overall very beautiful. They are very easy to grow, that's if the squirrels don't get to them first.  They come back year after year without any need for care. If done right I hope they self propagate and provide many more awesome blooms during the coming years. Enjoy what I captured this past weekend.

Blizzard Janus - Part 2

After shoveling so much snow from Blizzard Pax I was rather very unmotivated to trek out in the knee deep snow to take any photos. That reluctance has inspired me to finally finished part 2 of the previous blizzard. Enjoy!

Blizzard Janus - Part 1

I spent more time trying to photograph the weather conditions outdoor and really seek to see if I can capture as much of the "snow" as I could. Here is my attempt, this is part 1 of 2. Enjoy!

Blizzard Hercules

This was the first blizzard of 2014.  I spent some time walking around trying to find a scenic place but with the burden of having not getting to work too late, I did not have much time to really find something nice. The scenes that I really enjoyed were inaccessible to my vehicle so I could only see it from afar.  I made the most of what I had and even made some co-workers volunteer for some photos.  Enjoy!
